Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Tuesday visited the University of Dhaka (DU) for the second time since assuming office to attend a special programme titled “Youth, Startups and the Bangladesh of Possibilities.”
He arrived on the campus at around 10:00 am, where leaders and activists of the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal welcomed him with a procession.
General students also waved to greet the prime minister.
The programme, being held at the Nawab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban, began with recitations from holy scriptures and the national anthem.
Earlier, on May 12, Tarique Rahman made his first visit to DU as prime minister to attend a day-long workshop titled “Transforming Higher Education in Bangladesh: Roadmap to Sustainable Excellence,” organised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
