Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) is set to launch its one-stop citizen service application and management system, “Amader Chattogram,” today (Saturday), marking a major step towards digitising civic services and local government management.
The mobile application will enable residents to report civic problems, access municipal services and receive emergency information through a single digital platform.
According to information available on the app’s Google Play Store page, citizens can submit complaints in 10 key service areas: roads, mosquitoes, garbage, street lights, drains, public toilets, illegal structures, waterlogging, education and health.
Users can upload photographs and location details while reporting road-related issues, including damaged manholes, road surfaces, footpaths and drain slabs. The mosquito section allows users to report mosquito breeding, larvae infestations and mosquito-borne disease cases. The app will also display real-time statistics on complaints received, resolved and pending.
The emergency section provides access to emergency contact numbers, alerts and the national emergency helpline, 999.
The app also offers a range of city services, including access to information on women and child services, CCC school health cards, certificates, holding tax, trade licences and birth registration services. Users will also receive daily event schedules and weather updates.
In addition, residents can locate nearby bus stands, public toilets, transfer stations (STS), graveyards, maternity clinics, pharmacies, police stations, fire service stations, hospitals, parking facilities, ATMs, parks and community centres through Google Maps integration.
The CCC information section includes the mayor’s profile, details of the chief executive and departmental heads, contact information for councillors, addresses of all CCC offices, and links to the corporation’s official website and Facebook page.
Mayor Dr Shahadat Hossain said the app reflects the city corporation’s commitment to making public services simpler, more transparent and technology-driven.
The application was developed without spending CCC funds. It was financed through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme of Eastern Bank Limited (EBL), while Vento Tech provided the technical development.
