Bangladesh Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman and Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar exchanged greetings on the sidelines of the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Manila, the Philippines.
The development was confirmed on Thursday by Bangladesh’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and by Jaishankar through a post on his social media account.
The brief interaction took place during the ARF Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, where ministers and senior diplomats from across the Asia-Pacific region gathered to discuss regional security, cooperation and diplomatic issues.
Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman is representing Bangladesh at the meeting. He is accompanied by Prime Minister’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir.
The exchange comes as Bangladesh and India continue diplomatic engagement through regional and multilateral platforms, including ASEAN-led forums.
