Storms forecast in seven districts by noon

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast temporary rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds in seven districts by noon on Saturday.

According to the inland river ports weather bulletin issued at 5:00am, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram and Cox’s Bazar may experience south or southeasterly winds at speeds of 45–60 km/h, along with rain or thunderstorms until 1:00pm.

The BMD has advised river ports in these districts to hoist Local Cautionary Signal No. 1.

Meanwhile, the weather office said Dhaka is likely to remain partly to temporarily cloudy, with a chance of light rain. Daytime temperatures may fall slightly, while south to southeasterly winds are expected to blow at 10–15 km/h.
