Dhaka: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast rain in various parts of the country under the influence of the seasonal monsoon.
According to the latest bulletin issued on Wednesday, several regions may experience rainfall over the next 24 hours. Most areas of Rangpur, Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions are likely to see light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds. Some areas of Rajshahi, Dhaka and Khulna divisions may also receive rain.
The weather department said some parts of the country could experience moderate to heavy rainfall during the period. There is also a possibility of sudden gusty winds and lightning in some areas.
However, the rainfall is not expected to have any significant impact on the overall temperature. The forecast said both daytime and nighttime temperatures across the country are likely to remain nearly unchanged over the next 24 hours.
