The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast gusty winds accompanied by rain or thunderstorms in several parts of the country by noon on Thursday (August 20).
The monsoon remains fairly active over Bangladesh, while a low-pressure area over Jharkhand and adjoining Bihar is gradually weakening.
As a result, rain and thunderstorms may occur in different parts of the country, with some areas likely to experience moderate to heavy rainfall.
The weather office also said the tendency for rain may continue later in the day, while temperatures could fall slightly from Friday.
