Three people were killed and 36 others injured in attacks claimed by Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi rebels on two airports in Saudi Arabia, officials said.
The attacks targeted Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on October 6 and 7.
Two female residents, from Morocco and Algeria, were killed in the attack on Abha Airport, while 28 people were injured.
A Sudanese national was killed in the attack on King Khalid Airport, where eight others were wounded.
The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation said emergency teams responded immediately and the injured were taken to hospitals.
The attacks also caused material damage to the airport facilities.
The Houthi rebels claimed responsibility for the attacks, while Saudi authorities vowed a response.
The strikes came amid a sharp escalation in fighting between the Houthis and Saudi-backed Yemeni government forces.
The renewed conflict has also raised concerns over the safety of civilian aviation and shipping routes in the region.
