A Houthi attack targeted Saudi Arabia’s state-owned oil giant Saudi Aramco, causing a fire and damage to an administrative building in Dhahran, according to media reports.

The attack on Tuesday damaged the top three floors of an office tower at the Aramco compound. No casualties were reported, while the fire was described as limited.

The incident came amid escalating hostilities between Saudi Arabia and Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels, who have stepped up attacks on Saudi infrastructure in recent days.

The Houthis have threatened to target Saudi oil facilities and airports, warning civilians and employees to stay away from the sites.

Their threats followed Saudi-led coalition strikes on energy facilities in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen, including Sanaa and Hodeidah.

Saudi Arabia has also faced missile and drone attacks targeting airports and other critical infrastructure, raising concerns over regional security and disruptions to air travel and energy operations.

The escalating conflict has heightened fears of further attacks on Saudi Arabia’s vital oil infrastructure and key transport links.
