15 cocktails recovered from old trade fair ground

Police recovered 15 abandoned cocktails from the old trade fair ground in Agargaon, Dhaka, on Monday evening.

Acting on a tip-off, members of the Special Response Battalion (SRB) conducted a raid at a section of the old trade fair ground around 7:15pm and found the cocktails abandoned there, according to police.

The bomb disposal unit of the Special Action Group under the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit later reached the spot and cordoned off the area for safety.

The cocktails were subsequently recovered and efforts were launched to neutralise them in a safe environment.

Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Monir said police were investigating who had left the cocktails at the site and why.

The recovery took place in the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area of the capital.
