Filmmaker Md. Borhanul Ashekin, widely known as Borhan Khan, has won the Best Short Film Director award at the AJFB Star Awards 2025 for his socially driven short film Blind Road.

The honour was presented at a glittering ceremony held at the BIAM Auditorium, where leading figures from the country’s film and music industries gathered to celebrate excellence.

Organized by the Artist and Journalist Foundation of Bangladesh, the 19th edition of the awards recognized both established stars and rising talents.

He is also an accomplished writer, with his poetry collection Sobuj Prem receiving praise at the Amar Ekushey Book Fair 2019.

With years of experience across television dramas, commercials, and documentaries, Borhan Khan has built a reputation for meaningful, socially conscious storytelling.
