A Bangladeshi expatriate, Md. Mahfuzul Haque, 43, was shot dead while delivering food in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the United States.
According to local police, Haque, a resident of Northeast Philadelphia, was fatally shot by assailants while making a DoorDash food delivery in the city’s Kingsessing neighborhood.
The incident occurred around 9:30 pm local time on Tuesday in the 1000 block of South Ethan Street. He was shot in the back of the head and was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital.
Police recovered his car, which was still running, a DoorDash delivery bag, and two spent rifle shell casings from the scene.
Preliminary investigations suggest the incident was a premeditated killing. Police have identified three masked individuals as suspects in the case.
Mahfuzul Haque is survived by his wife and a 14-year-old child.
