Ahmadul Kobir, Malaysia: A 14-year-old Bangladeshi student living in Malaysia has earned recognition for his web development skills, winning a Web Excellence Award at the Malaysia Website Awards 2025 for an e-commerce website he created.

Al Muqtadir Talukder Duronto, a Form One student, was recognised at the awards ceremony in Kuala Lumpur on October 15, highlighting the growing potential of young Bangladeshis in technology and digital innovation.

Organised annually by Exabytes Group of Companies, a global technology services provider, the Malaysia Website Awards recognise creativity, technical expertise and innovation in website development and design.

Exabytes Malaysia President Michelle Yap presented the awards at the ceremony, where 30 websites were recognised across three categories from a total of 327 nominations.

Entries were assessed against several criteria, including website design, search engine optimisation (SEO), accessibility and performance.

Duronto’s achievement stands out given his age, demonstrating how young learners can develop practical digital skills and compete for recognition alongside other web developers and digital innovators.

He is also involved in various web development projects at Prokriti Inc, a technology services company, gaining experience beyond his formal education.

His engagement with web development and online business reflects the opportunities available to young people who combine classroom learning with hands-on experience. As digital technologies become increasingly important across industries, early exposure to website development, e-commerce and other technology-based activities can help students build skills for the future.
