Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has sought assistance from Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to help address Bangladesh’s ongoing gas crisis.
The request was made during a telephone conversation between the two leaders on Tuesday afternoon.
According to officials, Prime Minister Anwar assured his Bangladeshi counterpart that he would discuss the matter with the relevant Malaysian authorities and extend support in tackling the gas shortage.
The development was disclosed by State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Anindya Islam Amit while speaking to journalists at his office at the Secretariat on Tuesday.
