Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, has sent a gift of mangoes to Bangladesh Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman as a gesture of goodwill and diplomatic courtesy.
The Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka formally informed Bangladesh’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the gift through a diplomatic note on Thursday.
According to the note, the mangoes were sent by Ishaq Dar as part of a longstanding tradition and as a token of friendship for his Bangladeshi counterpart.
The Pakistan High Commission has requested the cooperation of the Chief of Protocol at Bangladesh’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to complete the necessary formalities and hand over the gift to the recipient.
