FIRE DEATHS / Saudi envoy offers condolences to FM

Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Bangladesh, Dr Abdullah Zafer H. bin Abiyah, met Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman and expressed condolences over the deaths of 16 Bangladeshi nationals in a recent fire at a sofa factory in Riyadh.

The fire occurred in Riyadh’s Musa Sanaiya area, killing at least 16 Bangladeshi migrant workers.

Bangladesh’s Foreign Ministry has been coordinating with Saudi authorities to identify the victims and complete the necessary procedures for repatriating the bodies.

The Saudi envoy conveyed his government’s sympathy to the bereaved families and expressed solidarity with Bangladesh following the tragic incident.
