Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen has said China is ready to further deepen educational cooperation with Bangladesh and help turn Chinese-language skills into employment and development opportunities for young people.
He made the remarks on Tuesday while attending the closing ceremony of the “Validation Workshop on Competency Standards and Course Accreditation Document for the Chinese Language”, organised by the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) of Bangladesh.
Yao Wen congratulated Bangladesh on the official release of the country’s first Chinese-language competency standard and course accreditation document.
He said the workshop marked a concrete step towards implementing the important consensus reached by the leaders of Bangladesh and China on strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The ambassador expressed China’s willingness to continue working with Bangladesh to expand educational cooperation and create greater opportunities for young people through Chinese-language learning and skills development.
Adviser to the Prime Minister Md Ismail Zabihullah and NSDA Executive Chairman Dr Nazneen Kawshar Chowdhury were among those attending the event.
Ismail Zabihullah welcomed the launch of Bangladesh’s first Chinese-language competency standard and course accreditation document, describing it as a positive development in bilateral educational cooperation.
He expressed hope that the workshop would serve as an opportunity to further deepen practical cooperation between Bangladesh and China in various fields and contribute to the continued development of bilateral relations.
