The Honorary Consulate of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis in Bangladesh will host a diplomatic reception in Dhaka on Friday to commemorate the Caribbean nation’s Independence Day.
The reception will be hosted by Honorary Consul Tanveer Ahmed and Mrs Nichaphut Sakuntanu and will bring together members of the diplomatic and consular corps in Dhaka, including ambassadors, high commissioners and honorary consuls, as well as senior representatives from the government, business, media and other sectors of Bangladeshi society.
The event will provide an opportunity to celebrate the national day of Saint Kitts and Nevis while bringing together members of the international diplomatic community and distinguished guests in a spirit of friendship, goodwill and mutual respect.
Saint Kitts and Nevis, an independent twin-island nation in the Caribbean, has developed a growing network of international relations and engagements.
The Independence Day reception in Dhaka reflects the importance attached to strengthening ties between Saint Kitts and Nevis and Bangladesh, while fostering greater understanding and dialogue between the two countries and their respective communities.
The evening will also provide a platform for members of the diplomatic, governmental and private sectors to meet and exchange views in an atmosphere of cordiality and international friendship.
The reception will be held at a city hotel Friday evening.
