Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has extended greetings and congratulations to Chinese President Xi Jinping on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
In a message sent on Thursday (October 1), Tarique conveyed warm greetings and congratulations to Xi on behalf of the government and people of Bangladesh as well as on his own behalf.
The prime minister said the longstanding friendship between Bangladesh and China had continued to develop over the past five decades through mutual respect, trust and understanding. The scope and depth of bilateral relations have continued to expand, bringing the two peoples closer and creating new opportunities for cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
He said the two countries’ joint commitment to building a Bangladesh-China community with a shared future in the new era marked an important milestone in bilateral relations.
Tarique expressed hope that the shared goal would further strengthen the bonds of friendship between the two countries and open new avenues of cooperation for their mutual benefit.
The prime minister also wished Xi good health and well-being, and expressed his wishes for continued peace, prosperity and success for the Chinese people.
