The price of gold has increased again in the country’s market. Under the latest decision, the price of one bhori (11.664 grams) of 22-carat gold has been raised by Tk 3,849 to Tk 240,628.
The new price came into effect at 10:30am on Thursday (August 20). The 22-carat gold is being sold at the revised price today, Friday (August 21).
According to the new rates, the price of one bhori of 21-carat gold, including VAT, has been increased by Tk 3,615 to Tk 229,780. The price of 18-carat gold has been raised by Tk 3,150 to Tk 197,355 per bhori.
Meanwhile, the price of traditional-method gold has increased by Tk 2,566 to Tk 161,196 per bhori.
Earlier, gold prices were also raised in the country’s market on August 15. At that time, the price of one bhori of 22-carat gold was increased by Tk 2,158 to Tk 236,779. The price of 21-carat gold was set at Tk 226,165, while 18-carat gold was priced at Tk 194,205 and traditional-method gold at Tk 158,630 per bhori.
