All Q-Cash services, including ATM, card and point-of-sale (POS) transactions, have resumed at 30 banks after being suspended for two days due to a system migration.
IT Consultants PLC (ITC), the operator of the Q-Cash network, confirmed the restoration on Tuesday night, October 6.
The services were suspended from around 9pm on October 4 as part of a system migration and technical upgrade, disrupting ATM withdrawals, card transactions, POS payments and some interbank transactions at around 30 banks.
Following the disruption, Bangladesh Bank summoned the Q-Cash management and instructed it to restore the affected services as soon as possible.
Q-Cash later announced that all services under its network had returned to normal.
Bank Asia also confirmed through an SMS that its ATM, card, POS, NPSB, e-commerce and QR services were fully operational, allowing customers to conduct transactions normally.
The disruption had caused considerable inconvenience to customers, particularly those relying on Q-Cash-linked ATMs and card services.
