The government on Sunday published the results of the 2026 Primary Scholarship Examination, with 79,246 students receiving scholarships across the country.

Of the total recipients, 32,965 students secured Talentpool Scholarships, while the remaining 46,281 received General Scholarships.

The results were formally announced at a press conference held at the International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka. Education and Primary and Mass Education Adviser A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon officially unveiled the results.

The Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) said students and guardians can access the results through the official IPEMIS portal as well as via SMS.

The scholarship examinations were held from April 15 to 18 across all districts except the three Chattogram Hill Tracts districts. In Rangamati, Khagrachhari and Bandarban, the examinations took place from April 17 to 20 under a separate schedule.

More than 640,000 students sat for this year’s examination. Of them, around 550,000 were from government primary schools, while about 90,000 were enrolled in non-government primary schools, including kindergartens.

The annual scholarship programme recognises academically outstanding students at the primary level and aims to encourage merit and improve the quality of primary education across the country.
