A fire broke out at a gym franchise associated with Bollywood actor Salman Khan in New Delhi’s Greater Kailash-I area on Thursday night, with no casualties or major damage reported.
The blaze started at around 10:15pm on the first floor of the gym located in M Block Market, according to police.
Local police officers quickly reached the spot and evacuated everyone inside before firefighters arrived.
Fire brigade personnel subsequently brought the blaze under control.
Officials said a short circuit was suspected to have caused the fire, although the exact cause has not yet been established.
The premises were secured after the firefighting operation, and police said further investigation was underway.
The gym operates as a franchise under Salman Khan’s gym brand; reports noted that the facility is not necessarily owned personally by the actor.
