Fans gathered outside Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s residence in Mumbai to celebrate his birthday, while fellow actors and industry colleagues extended warm wishes to the veteran actor.
As in previous years, admirers assembled outside Jalsa, Bachchan’s home in Juhu, hoping to catch a glimpse of the star. A video circulating online showed a fan dressed like Bachchan dancing to “Main Hoon Don” from his 1978 film Don. Others held large posters of his iconic films and placards bearing birthday greetings.
The celebrations highlighted the enduring popularity of the actor, whose career has spanned generations of Indian cinema audiences.
Among those wishing Bachchan was actor Madhuri Dixit, who joined him for a special birthday-week episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 17. Dixit is also set to host the Marathi version of the popular quiz show.
Calling Bachchan a true legend, Dixit said the actor and Kaun Banega Crorepati had become inseparable in the eyes of millions of Indians.
She described it as a privilege to celebrate a milestone birthday with the actor, praising his warmth, grace and charm. She also said his ability to make contestants feel like family was one of his greatest qualities.
Actor Sanjay Dutt also wished Bachchan on social media, calling him his hero and thanking him for his affection and guidance.
“It is an honour for me just to work with you,” Dutt wrote on X, adding that he had learned a great deal from the veteran actor.
Telugu cinema star Chiranjeevi shared a photograph of himself embracing Bachchan and described him as his “dearest Guru Ji”.
In his birthday message, Chiranjeevi praised Bachchan’s passion for cinema, dedication to his craft, warmth and humility. He wished the actor good health, happiness and many more years of doing what he loves.
The birthday greetings from fans and fellow actors reflected Bachchan’s lasting influence on Indian cinema and his continued appeal across generations.
