Fardin Ehsan Swadhin, son of popular Dhallywood actor couple Omar Sani and Moushumi, has threatened legal action against Facebook pages allegedly spreading misleading information about his family.
Fardin has given the pages 24 hours to remove the disputed content, warning that he would issue legal notices and file lawsuits if they failed to comply.
In a Facebook post early Wednesday, Fardin expressed anger over the allegations involving his mother, saying, “My mother is the crown of my head.”
Recently, claims circulated on social media that Fardin had transferred his family’s properties into his name and forced his mother out of their house in the United States.
Omar Sani dismissed the allegations as false and baseless. He said Fardin currently lives in Dubai, while Moushumi is in the United States. He also claimed that the family owns no property in the US.
Fardin shared screenshots of two Facebook pages that he accused of circulating misleading content about his parents and their family.
Omar Sani subsequently shared his son’s post on his own timeline, expressing support for his stance.
The actor has also warned that legal action would follow if the alleged misinformation continued.
He reiterated his position at a press conference at the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) in Dhaka on Wednesday afternoon.
It remains unclear whether the pages concerned will remove the content within the deadline or whether the dispute will proceed to court.
