Saudi Arabia has introduced new mandatory requirements for holders of multiple-entry Umrah visas.
Even with a one-year visa, pilgrims must book an approved Umrah service package and obtain an Umrah permit before each trip to the Kingdom.
The new multiple-entry Umrah visa, introduced in July, is valid for 365 days from the date of issuance.
Holders can enter Saudi Arabia multiple times during the visa’s validity period, but their total stay cannot exceed 90 days.
Before each visit, pilgrims must purchase the required service package through the Nusuk platform from an approved Umrah service provider.
They must also obtain an Umrah permit through the Nusuk app before travelling to Saudi Arabia.
The dates mentioned on the Umrah permit must match the dates covered by the approved service package.
The package’s validity cannot exceed the remaining validity of the visa.
Saudi authorities will record travellers’ entry and exit information to monitor how many days they have stayed in the country and ensure they do not exceed the 90-day total limit.
The new rules mean that obtaining a one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa alone is not sufficient.
Pilgrims must complete the service-booking and permit process separately before each Umrah trip.
