Eid-e-Miladunnabi, commemorating the birth and passing of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), is being observed across Bangladesh today, Wednesday, August 26, corresponding to 12 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1448 AH.
The day is being observed with religious solemnity through various programmes, including milad and doa mahfils, discussions on the Prophet’s life and teachings, and religious gatherings.
A 15-day Seeratunnabi programme is also underway at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque under the initiative of the Islamic Foundation.
Eid-e-Miladunnabi is a public holiday in Bangladesh, with government offices and educational institutions remaining closed.
