Thirteen officers of the rank of additional superintendent and assistant superintendent of police have been transferred and posted to new positions.
Of them, 12 have been transferred, while one has been attached to a new workplace.
The orders were issued through separate notifications signed by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Ali Hossain Fakir on Wednesday (August 19).
According to the notifications, DMP Additional Deputy Commissioner Mostafizur Rahman and Special Branch Additional Superintendent of Police Md Ashikur Rahman Khan have been transferred to the Police Headquarters as additional superintendents of police. Both will serve in TR positions.
Additional Superintendent of Police Nadia Farzana has been transferred to the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), while Police Staff College Additional Superintendent Arifa Ashraf Pinky has been transferred to the DMP as an additional deputy commissioner. Rajbari Sadar Circle Additional Superintendent Shahidul Islam has been transferred to Bandarban Sadar Circle as an additional superintendent.
CID Additional Superintendent Abu Taleb has been posted to Kalapara Circle in Patuakhali as an additional superintendent of police.
In the same notification, RAB Assistant Superintendent Md Mahfuzur Rahman has been posted to Baghaichhari Circle in Rangamati, while RAB Assistant Superintendent H.M. Golam Rabbi has been posted to Shailkupa Circle in Jhenaidah.
Two more RAB assistant superintendents, A.R.M. Mozzafar Hossain and Md Mashihur Rahman Sohel, have been posted to Mirsarai Circle in Chattogram and Fakirhat Circle in Bagerhat, respectively.
Meanwhile, Fakirhat Circle Assistant Superintendent Md Rashedul Islam Rana has been transferred to Mehendiganj Circle in Barishal, while Shailkupa Circle Assistant Superintendent Md Akhtaruzzaman has been transferred to Tala Circle in Satkhira.
In a separate notification, Noakhali Police Training Centre Additional Superintendent Khandakar Rabiul Arafat has been attached to the Police Special Training School in Betbunia, Rangamati, as an additional superintendent of police.
The notifications said the transferred officers must hand over charge at their current workplaces and join their new posts by August 29. Otherwise, they will be considered immediately released from their current posts, or stand released, from August 30.
Khandakar Rabiul Arafat, however, has been instructed to hand over charge by August 22 and will be considered stand released from August 23 if he fails to do so.
