The International Crimes Tribunal-2 has allowed the two children of journalist Farzana Rupa to visit their mother, who is currently receiving treatment at Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) hospital.
The tribunal granted the permission on Thursday following a petition filed by Rupa’s lawyer, Sifat Mahmud Shuvo.
Rupa, a former chief reporter of Ekattor Television, has been in custody in connection with cases filed over alleged crimes against humanity.
She was admitted to BMU on August 30 after falling ill while in Munshiganj District Jail. She is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital’s prison cell.
Her lawyer said Rupa’s one son and one daughter will now be able to meet their mother at the hospital.
