The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has temporarily suspended an official who prematurely published the partial results of the 2025 Primary Scholarship Examination on the web portal before formal approval and official announcement.
The suspended official, Md Mehtab Kayes, an assistant maintenance engineer at the Directorate of Primary Education (DPE), allegedly created the necessary link and enabled the results to be uploaded to the web portal without following the required security protocols.
The ministry deemed the incident misconduct under the Government Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 2018, and issued the suspension order on Friday.
According to the order, the suspension took effect retrospectively from July 9, 2026, the day the results were uploaded.
During the suspension period, the official will be entitled to a subsistence allowance in accordance with the rules.
