The government has appointed Kazi Jesin as director general(dg) (Grade-1) of Bangladesh Television on a contractual basis.
The appointment was announced in a notification issued on Thursday by the Contracts and Foreign Employment Branch of the Ministry of Public Administration.
According to the notification, Kazi Jesin has been appointed under Section 11(2) of the Bangladesh Television Authority Act, 2001, for a one-year term effective from the date of joining.
The appointment is subject to the condition that she relinquishes any employment or professional affiliation with other occupations, businesses, or government, semi-government, private institutions or organisations before assuming office.
The notification also states that the detailed terms and conditions of the appointment will be specified in the approved contract. It added that the order has been issued in the public interest
