DHAKA: Former adviser to Bangladesh’s interim government’s law ministry and Dhaka University professor Dr Asif Nazrul has said he is waiting to see Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s downfall.
In a Facebook post on Saturday (October 10), Asif Nazrul wrote, “Modi is bewildered by the cockroaches’ bites. I don’t think he will be able to survive much longer.”
He then wrote, “Will his country change if Modi falls? It will change to some extent. At least, the politics of blind hatred towards Muslims will suffer a setback, even if only a little. Internationally isolated Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will lose a close ally. The severe inequality in Indian society may also decrease somewhat.”
Concluding his post, the Dhaka University professor added, “People of this country suffered in various ways as victims of Modi and his politics. They and their families will find some solace.”
“Like many others, I too am waiting to see Modi’s downfall,” he wrote. Source: Social media.
