Reshuffle in 3 secretary-level posts

Three secretary-level posts in the government have been reshuffled. Among them, Rafiqul I Mohammad, who was transferred from the Ministry of Agriculture to serve as secretary of the Public Division of the President’s Office just 11 days ago, has been transferred again. The contractual appointee has now been made secretary of the Rural Development and Cooperatives Division.

Meanwhile, the current secretary of the Rural Development and Cooperatives Division, Mohat Shaukat Rashid Chowdhury, has been appointed chairman (secretary) of the Land Reform Board. A.J.M. Salahuddin Nagari, chairman of the Land Reform Board, has been appointed secretary of the Public Division of the President’s Office.

The changes were announced in separate notifications issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Friday, a weekly holiday.

Earlier, on August 10, the government had reshuffled the secretary-level posts at the Ministry of Agriculture and the Public Division of the President’s Office. Rafiqul I Mohammad, who was serving as secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture on a contractual basis, was appointed secretary (contractual) of the Public Division of the President’s Office. At the same time, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Md. Selim Khan was promoted to secretary and appointed to head the same ministry.

Meanwhile, in a separate notification issued that day, Khan Md. Nurul Amin, then secretary of the Public Division of the President’s Office, was attached to the Ministry of Public Administration.
