The Ministry of Women and Children Affairs has invited applications and nominations for the Begum Rokeya Padak 2026, one of the country’s highest honours recognising outstanding contributions by women.
Up to five Bangladeshi women will be awarded the prestigious accolade for their exceptional achievements in fields such as women’s education, women’s rights, socio-economic development, empowerment through literature and culture, rural development, and other areas as determined by the government.
Eligible candidates who have made significant contributions in any of the specified fields are encouraged to apply using the prescribed application form.
The form is available on the ministry’s official website and the website of the Department of Women Affairs.
Applications or nominations submitted in formats other than the prescribed form will not be considered.
Applicants must clearly mention the category under which they are applying and submit a soft copy of the completed form in MS Word format using Nikosh font via email by July 31, 2026, according to a PID handout.
In addition, two hard copies of the application must be sent by post or submitted directly to the Secretary, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, at the Bangladesh Secretariat, Dhaka, within the stipulated deadline.
