China-Bangladesh education cooperation set to deepen

Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon has said China-Bangladesh cooperation in education is poised to reach new heights.

The minister made the remarks while attending a China-Bangladesh education cooperation programme in Guangzhou, China, as the chief guest on Wednesday (August 26).

According to a statement from the Education Ministry, the programme focused on expanding opportunities for talented Bangladeshi students to pursue higher education in China, establishing a structured framework for cooperation between Chinese and Bangladeshi universities, promoting joint innovation by research institutions and strengthening technical education cooperation to develop skilled manpower.

The participants also held detailed discussions on joint plans for developing skilled human resources and expanding collaboration between universities in the two countries.

They expressed hope that bilateral cooperation in education would reach a new level through stronger academic, research and technical partnerships.

Prime Minister’s Education Adviser Dr Mahdi Amin and Technical and Madrasa Education Division Secretary Md Daud Mia attended the event as special guests.

Senior representatives from several Chinese universities also participated, including Tian Xingyu, vice-president of Anhui Normal University, and Zheng Pengwu, vice-president of Jiangxi Science and Technology Normal University.
