Rumors surrounding the marriage of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari have been circulating on social media, reigniting discussions about his personal life.

Some sources have claimed that Bilawal’s father, Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari, traveled to his home country with other family members to discuss Bilawal’s marriage and possibly finalize a date.

There are also rumors that Bilawal could get married toward the end of this year. Some reports even claim that his alleged fiancée is a resident of Vaduz, the capital of the small European country of Liechtenstein.

Liechtenstein is a small independent state in Western Europe, located between Switzerland and Austria. Its capital is Vaduz.

However, the PPP has completely rejected the reports.

Murtaza Wahab, mayor of Karachi and a spokesperson for Bilawal, said on social media that reports about Bilawal’s engagement or marriage are “false and baseless.”

Neither Bilawal nor his family has made any official announcement regarding an engagement or marriage. Therefore, the claims circulating on social media remain unconfirmed.

What has Bilawal said about marriage in the past?

Bilawal has spoken about his marriage plans on several occasions, although he has never revealed details about a potential partner or a wedding date.

In 2022, during the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, a journalist asked him about his plans to get married. At the time, Bilawal, who was then serving as foreign minister, responded with a smile, saying, “Of course, I have plans to get married.” However, he did not say when he planned to tie the knot.

Earlier, in 2016, Bilawal spoke about marriage and said that his future wife would first have to win over his sisters.

Jokingly, he said the right woman would have to win his sisters’ hearts first, adding that getting their approval would not be an easy task.
