Barcelona have agreed a deal with Egyptian forward Hamza Abdelkarim that will keep him at the Spanish club until June 30, 2030.
Abdelkarim is scheduled to formally sign the contract at Barcelona president Joan Laporta’s office at 5pm CEST on September 15. He will then speak to the media at the club’s commercial office.
The Egyptian forward initially joined Barcelona on loan on February 1, 2026, and quickly impressed. He scored on his U-19 debut against Osca on March 8 and netted nine goals in just six league appearances, including a hat-trick in a 9-0 win over Montcada, which secured Barcelona the División de Honor title.
Barcelona made his move permanent in the summer. Under coach Hansi Flick, Abdelkarim scored four goals in pre-season to finish as the team’s top scorer.
He made his competitive first-team debut on August 31 against Rayo Vallecano at Spotify Camp Nou in La Liga.
