The deadline for online applications in the second phase of Class XI admissions has been extended to 8pm on October 1.

The schedules for result publication, selection confirmation, migration and final admission have also been revised.

The revised schedule was announced in a notice signed by Prof Dr Syed Akhtaruzzaman, president of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, on Monday.

According to the notice, the second-phase schedule was revised to address complications arising after a large number of students failed to cancel their confirmations or complete admission within the stipulated time.

Students eligible to apply in the second phase include those who did not apply earlier, were not selected by any college, received nominations but failed to confirm their selection or complete admission, or could not secure admission because of incorrect quota selection.

Under the revised schedule, the second-phase results will be published at 8pm on October 5. Students will have until 8pm on October 8 to confirm their selections. Failure to confirm within the deadline will result in cancellation of the application and selection.

The migration results will be published at 8pm on October 9, while final admission will take place from October 11 to 13.

The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee said students who applied in the first phase but were not selected by any college will not have to pay the Tk220 application fee again. They only need to log in to the admission website and select or revise their preferred colleges.

Students have been advised to list at least five and up to 10 colleges in order of preference and to verify their eligibility for any applicable quota before submitting their applications.
