Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye have agreed to rapidly deploy military personnel and capabilities to Saudi Arabia following recent attacks on the kingdom, according to a joint statement issued after an emergency trilateral meeting.
The agreement was reached on Monday (October 5), with Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry saying the deployment would take place in accordance with approved arrangements and the national laws of the countries concerned.
The move is intended to strengthen military readiness and coordination among the three countries and enhance their collective ability to respond to a range of security threats, the statement said.
The three countries stressed that the security of each member is an integral part of their collective security. They said implementing joint defence mechanisms under the Makkah Agreement would further strengthen their deterrence capabilities and their ability to protect their security, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The coalition also agreed to deepen military cooperation and coordination to reinforce mutual security.
The statement further underscored the importance of using the bloc’s collective capabilities to respond to any threats to Saudi Arabia’s security.
The development comes as the three countries seek to strengthen strategic and defence coordination under their emerging security framework.
