DHAKA: All flights from Dhaka to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, have been suspended until further notice following the suspension of all flights at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) announced the decision in an emergency press release on Sunday morning (October 11).
Earlier, Biman Bangladesh Airlines said its scheduled flights BG339 and BG340 on the Dhaka-Riyadh-Dhaka route would remain suspended until further notice.
Passengers with bookings on the affected flights have been advised not to go to the airport.
Biman apologised for the inconvenience caused to passengers and their families, advising affected travellers to contact its call centre or visit the nearest sales office for immediate assistance.
