Iraq’s oil exports have risen to more than 3.4 million barrels per day (bpd) since the beginning of October, with shipments moving through three main routes, including the Strait of Hormuz, Oil Minister Basim Mohammed Khudair has said.
Speaking to the state-run Iraqi News Agency (INA), Khudair said Iraq had maintained an average export rate of 3 million bpd over the past nine months through state oil marketer SOMO, despite ongoing regional conflicts.
He said current shipments were being transported through the Strait of Hormuz, the Turkish port of Ceyhan and tanker trucks travelling through Syria.
The routes serve markets in Europe, Asia and the United States.
