Police have arrested a total of 116,725 people over nationwide operations conducted between May 1 and July 12 this year, according to Police Headquarters.
Of the total, 32,908 were detained during special drives, while 83,817 were arrested in connection with regular criminal cases and routine operations.
During the operation, law enforcers recovered a significant cache of arms and explosives, including 243 firearms, 2,313 rounds of bullets and cartridges, 88 magazines, 43 crude bombs, 2 kilograms of gunpowder, and 503 locally made weapons.
They also seized 18 weapon parts, 17 tools used for making weapons and explosives, and 10,300 chocolate bombs.
The firearms recovered included pistols, shooter guns, LGs, revolvers, rifles, shotguns, submachine guns (SMGs), pipe guns, air guns, and even a pen gun.
Police also seized large quantities of narcotics, including over 7.64 million Yaba tablets, heroin sachets, Phensedyl, foreign and local liquor, cannabis, and other illegal substances.
In connection with drug-related offences, law enforcers filed 14,157 cases and arrested 20,439 individuals.
Police said the drives are part of ongoing efforts to curb crime, illegal arms, and drug trafficking across the country.
