The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain in various parts of the country over the next 24 hours starting from 9:00 am today.
According to a Met Office bulletin issued morning, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds are likely at many places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions.
A few areas in Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions may also experience rainfall.
The bulletin added that moderately heavy to heavy rainfall may occur in some parts of the country.
Both day and night temperatures are expected to rise slightly nationwide.
On Tuesday, the highest temperature recorded was 35.5°C in Rangamati, while today’s lowest temperature was 24.2°C in Patuakhali.
In the 24 hours ending at 6:00 am today, Sylhet recorded the highest rainfall at 36 millimetres.
In Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:49 pm today and rise at 5:20 am tomorrow.
