BNP’s Sarwar Alamgir takes oath as MP

BNP’s newly elected lawmaker from the Chattogram-2 constituency, Sarwar Alamgir, was sworn in as a member of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad on Thursday evening.

The oath-taking ceremony was held at the Speaker’s office in the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, where Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed Bir Bikram administered the oath in the presence of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

Following the ceremony, the newly elected MP signed the official oath register at the Parliament Secretariat in accordance with parliamentary procedures.

The ceremony was attended by Local Government Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Finance Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Deputy Speaker Barrister Kaiser Kamal, Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni, and other whips of Parliament.
