PM joins Bay of Bengal Conversation 2026

DHAKA: Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has joined the opening ceremony of the international dialogue ‘Bay of Bengal Conversation 2026’. He attended the event at 9:15am on Saturday (October 3) at the Grand Ballroom of Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital.

Organised by the Centre for Governance Studies (CGS), the three-day dialogue is being held under the theme, “Fragments, Frontiers, Futures: Navigating Power, Technology and Trust in a World Rewritten.”

As the keynote speaker at the opening ceremony, the prime minister is scheduled to address Bangladesh’s position, global changes, international cooperation and regional prospects.

Politicians, diplomats, researchers, economists, policymakers and media professionals from different countries are taking part in the dialogue, which will continue until October 5.

Various sessions of the dialogue will discuss shifts in the global balance of power, international security, economic transformation, climate change, technology, democracy, good governance, and connectivity and trade centred on the Bay of Bengal.
