Elon Musk and Shivon Zilis have ended their relationship, with Zilis saying the split came suddenly and without warning.
Zilis, a Neuralink executive and the mother of four of Musk’s children, announced the breakup in a post on X on Friday.
She said it was painful to go from being “in love to let go in a week with no warning”.
Zilis also shared a screenshot of a recent text exchange in which she and Musk had expressed their love for each other.
She said she was deeply hurt by the breakup but remained grateful for the years they had spent together.
Musk and Zilis have four children: twins Strider and Azure, born in 2021, daughter Arcadia, born in 2024, and son Seldon, born in 2025.
Zilis said she hoped she and Musk could remain “great friends and coparents” and wished him happiness. Musk has not publicly commented on the breakup.
