The government has declared November 7 a public holiday every year to observe National Revolution and Solidarity Day.
The decision was approved at the 23rd Cabinet meeting held at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Monday, October 5, 2026.
The day will also be included as a Category ‘A’ national observance under the Cabinet Division’s circular on national and international days.
The decision means government offices will observe a general holiday on November 7 every year.
