Nepalese Ambassador to Bangladesh Ghanashyam Bhandari met Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Tamim Iqbal on Wednesday to discuss ways to strengthen sports cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting was held at the BCB president’s office, where the board shared details of the upcoming three-match T20 International series between Bangladesh and Nepal.
The matches are scheduled to be played in Kathmandu on March 26, 28 and 30 next year.
The series will be dedicated to the memory of those who lost their lives in the recent devastating flash floods in Nepal, underscoring the friendship and solidarity between the two countries.
The Nepalese Embassy in Dhaka thanked the Ministries of Youth and Sports of Bangladesh and Nepal, the Cricket Association of Nepal and the BCB for their role in advancing bilateral cricket cooperation.
According to the embassy, both sides are committed to expanding sports ties through men’s and women’s tours, high-performance programmes, and training and technical support.
