Bangladesh will take on India in the women’s cricket semi-final of the 2026 Asian Games in Nisshin, Japan, today (Sunday).
The match is scheduled to begin at 2pm local time in Japan (11am Bangladesh time) at the Korogi Sports Park.
India advanced to the last four after an emphatic eight-wicket victory over Japan in the quarter-final, chasing down a target of 58 in just five overs.
Shree Charani claimed four wickets, while Shafali Verma struck an unbeaten 40 off 15 balls.
Bangladesh reached the semi-final after their quarter-final against China was washed out without a ball being bowled.
They progressed as the higher-ranked team.
The winner of today’s semi-final will advance to the gold-medal match, while the losing side will play for the bronze medal.
India are the defending Asian Games champions, having won gold at the 2022 Hangzhou Games, held in 2023.
