National Parliament Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed is set to hold a press briefing on Friday following his return from Thailand, where he had cut short a personal visit amid growing speculation over the possible resignation of the president.
The briefing is scheduled for 5:00 pm at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban (Parliament House), according to a senior official of the Parliament Secretariat.
Speaking to bdnews24.com on condition of anonymity, the official said the briefing had been called to address issues related to the president.
The announcement comes as speculation continues over the president’s possible resignation, although no official statement has yet been issued on the matter.
