Bangladesh will host the 15th edition of the SAFF Championship from November 4 to 17, marking the return of South Asia’s premier international football tournament to the country after an eight-year gap.

Organized by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF), the regional championship is expected to feature all member nations competing for South Asian football’s top honor.

The tournament logo will be officially unveiled in Dhaka on July 25, while the official draw is scheduled for August 1 in Thimphu, Bhutan, where the participating teams will learn their group-stage opponents.

Welcoming the announcement, SAFF General Secretary Purusottam Kattel said he was delighted to confirm the dates and venue for the 2026 championship.

“The SAFF Championship holds a special place in our hearts and has produced countless memorable moments for football fans across the region over the years,” he said.

Kattel also expressed confidence in Bangladesh’s ability to stage a successful tournament, citing the country’s passionate football supporters.

“Bangladesh’s enthusiasm and love for football make it an exciting host. We believe the country will deliver a spectacular tournament that will leave lasting memories for both players and fans,” he said.

The 2026 edition will be the 15th SAFF Championship and the first to be held in Bangladesh since 2018, when the country last hosted the federation’s flagship competition.
